IDA WARG Beauty offers a wide range of self-tanning products to help you easily find your favorite. So, let’s go through the differences between the products to make things a little easier!

Let’s start with the two categories ✨
Our self-tanning products are divided into two categories, with a few small exceptions.
All white-packaged products belong to our "Original Series", where the formula inside the bottle is white. This means the product does not have a color guide, so you won’t see where you’ve applied it—making these products better suited for more experienced self-tanning users.

The white self-tanning products develop into a sun-kissed glow on the skin. The result starts to appear after 3 hours and fully develops after 12 hours.
Original products are fragrance-free and do not need to be rinsed off. However, to avoid any risk of transfer to clothes or other fabrics, we always recommend rinsing off once the product has reached its maximum result.

The two exceptions in the Original Series are Tanning Drops and Self-Tanning Water Mist. Further down, you’ll find information on each product to understand the difference.

The second category is the "Tinted Series". Here, you'll find all products with a tinted formula—a so-called "color guide." This allows you to see exactly where you’ve applied the product.
A common misconception about tinted self-tanning products is that the immediate effect is the final result. However, the color in the formula is only cosmetic, giving you an instant sun-kissed glow and making application easier. Like the Original Series, these products still need 12 hours to fully develop. When you shower off the excess color, you remove the color guide, leaving behind your true tan.
Tinted products are also fragranced.

But what’s the actual difference between the products?

For the face:

Tanning Drops – Clear drops with a serum-like formula that you mix with your face cream. Use 2-10 drops depending on the desired result. Fragrance-free.
Self-Tanning Face Lotion – A clear face lotion applied to dry, cleansed skin without any other creams before or after. Fragrance-free.
Self-Tanning Water Mist – A mist that provides a light, sun-kissed effect. Can be used on dry, cleansed skin for maximum results or as a hydrating mist over makeup. This product is also great for tanning your hands—spray generously over your hands and between your fingers while slightly bending them. Let air dry. Tropical scent.

For the body:

Self-Tanning Mousse – A clear mousse applied with a self-tanning mitt. Fragrance-free.
Tinted Self-Tanning Mousse Medium Dark – A tinted mousse applied with a self-tanning mitt. The formula has a Medium Dark shade and a tropical scent.
Tinted Self-Tanning Mousse Extra Dark – A tinted mousse applied with a self-tanning mitt. The formula has an Extra Dark shade and a tropical scent.
Self-Tanning Body Lotion – A clear body lotion applied with hands, ideal for extra hydration. Don't forget to wash your hands after application! Fragrance-free.
Self-Tanning Spray – A clear spray that can be applied directly to the body or onto an application mitt. Regardless of how you choose to apply it, the product should be blended into the skin with a mitt for an even result. Fragrance-free.
Cocoa Self-Tanning Mousse – A tinted self-tanner with its color derived from recycled cocoa shells. Apply with a self-tanning mitt. Scented with chocolate, coconut, and vanilla.

All products develop fully after 12 hours.
Exfoliate your skin 24 hours before application and moisturise dry areas before applying the product. To make your tan last as long as possible and fade evenly, keep your skin hydrated daily.
